Holiday Scams
This is a busy time of year. New Year's will be here before you can blink. Everything is in a rush — a fact that scammers don't miss. So don't lay aside your common sense just because you are in a hurry. Look out for the following:
- The payment involves a cashier's check or money order.
- The deal involves a shipper or some complicated 3rd party.
- Their phone number is bogus.
- They are in a hurry, but you are the one that has to do all the work.
