Classified Ad Industry

USA4SALE Networks, Inc. has been named one of three finalists for Editor & Publisher's 2009 EPpy award for Best Classified Website (under 1 million visitors) along with nwautos.com (Seattle Times) and PennySaverUSA.Com. USA4SALE Networks, Inc. is the Ocala-based publisher of Ocala4sale.com, Gainesville4sale.com and three other Florida classified sites.

The competition is judged by a panel of 40 industry experts and media specialists, who considered 400 entries representing 150 media sites.  Winners will be announced at the Interactive Media Conference and Trade Show on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans.

From Editor & Publisher:  "Media companies with multiple EPpy finalists include The New York Times, CNN and the Las Vegas Sun with four finalists each. USA Today, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, The Arizona Daily Star and NPR each placed two finalists in the competition."

Forbes Article on Online Advertising

. . . this probably doesn't come as news to users of this website, but I did think it was interesting to see what Forbes magazine had to say about the near-term future of online advertising. Bottom line, Forbes expects to see more and more businesses harness the power of online advertising in the next few years.

Just stumbled upon a new community site from Amazon.com called Unspun.com and noticed that Ocala4sale was listed high on the list of the nation's Best Job Search Sites. Not bad for little 'ol Ocala!
