Experience two legendary tributes in one night! “Highway to Hell” the ultimate ACDC tribute show and “Absolute Queen”. WIND FM Rocks the Reilly with this night to remember. Mother’s day is almost here and what better way to celebrate it than with a concert under the night sky? The Fine Arts For Ocala organization is hosting a symphony under the stars this Sunday, May 14th. The cost will be $25 an adult, and $5 for children aged 6 – 17, under 6 will be free! You can bring your own picnic and drinks, or purchase from the select food vendors that will be there. Come treat mom to an amazing night out under the stars in Ocala, the event is located at The Ocala Golf Club: 3130 E Silver Springs Boulevard.
Join the kind folks at Brick City Adventure Park for an evening out! The kids will get to participate in arts & crafts, indoor and outdoor games, and a game room full of fun. Just north of Ocala, there is a place where beautiful endangered animals can be found. EARS (Endangered Animal Rescue Sanctuary), was founded by Gail Bowen in 2001, EARS provides a home for unwanted or abused endangered animals. The caretakers do everything they can to provide a loving, permanent home for the animals. Wile EARS is not open to the public, they do invite the public every Wed. and Sat. for guided tours. They begin at 2pm, last for about 2 hours, and are 18$ for adults and 10$ for children under 12. Private tours can also be arranged. You can learn more at their website here.
One of the best points of Ocala (besides Tasty-O’s) is its natural beauty. And while there may be some trees or even forest in your neighborhood, nothing beats going out into it and taking a hike! Here are some nature parks for you to enjoy.
- Heritage Nature Conservancy: a beautiful little park with a playground and a lovely little pond, and some signs with great nature info.
- Fort King National Historic Park: A classic old fort with a wonderful park surrounding it.
- Ocala National Forest: This incredible park has hundreds of lakes and beautiful scenery.
