Internet Resources for Selling Online

Here at USA4SALE Networks, we want to do all we can to make using — and enjoying — the web as easy as possible. To that end, we've created this handy little list of links to the most helpful sites on the web. Of course, most have to do with making it easier for you to buy and sell things, but there are a few surprises in there as well!

Re-size Photos
Are your photos too large to upload for your Photo Ad?
Download and install Picassa from Google! It's a simple to use photo editor and gallery from the Web's leading search engine. Or, try Irfan-View, another free photo editing program that we use here in the office.

New & Used Car Prices
Kelley Blue Book is the place to go to find the going rate on new and used cars. Used car pricing includes trade-in, retail and private party Blue Book value. Don't shop for a used car without this tool!

Vehicle History Report
Want to do serious research on the car you're thinking of buying? Try CarFax.com. Type in the VIN and a detailed vehicle history report is ready in seconds… one catch. There's a $19.99 charge for a single vehicle report or a $24.99 charge for unlimited reports.

Research Homes & Land
There are a couple of great online resources for Real Estate. Google Maps offers a satellite feature as well… type the address of the property you're researching into the search box, and you'll get a map with a link to "Satellite" in the upper right hand corner. Zillow.com is a national site that offers appraisals based on area home sales history. Here in Marion County, the property approiser's website offers detailed sales history and property description (including taxes), go to the Marion County Appraiser's website and click on "Property Search." For aerial views of the property, go to the MCBCC website and click on "Maps/GIS" for incredible satellite views of the property.

Escrow
Protect yourself online by using a reputable escrow service, like Escrow.com. Sellers can protect themselves from credit card and payment fraud, while buyers receive merchandise before the seller is paid, allowing them time to dispute the sale before payment is made.

Shipping Services
Of course the United States Post Office will ship packages for you, as will UPS and FedEx. Did you know you can track shipped packages using the shipping number through Google? Yep, all you do is enter the shipping number into the Google search box, and it'll return a link to the shipment information. Or, use the tracking option directly from the shipper's website.
