You Just Might Be a Scammer If…
- . . . you come from Nigeria, Camaroun, other parts of Africa or Europe and you want something shipped to you. What, they don't have used laptop computers in London? Get real!
- . . . you have a shipping agent.
- . . . you have a really complicated story as to why you can't just come over with the cash.
- . . . you throw in an extra $100 for people's trouble or stress.
- . . . you are a barrister, a government minister, or you have a wealthy relative who died and left you money and you need my help to smuggle it out of the country. In fact, the more interesting your story, the more of a scammer you are.
- . . . you're willing to pay more than the asking price.
- . . . your phone number is incorrect, out of service, or goes to a voice mail that has not been set up or is full.
- . . . you make contact using an Internet Relay Call. Click for Details…
- . . . your English is lousy.
- . . . your English is just way too good!
- . . . your English just sounds funny or a little bit too, well, English.
- . . . your e-mail address changes suddenly. (Because your last one was reported for fraud!).
- . . . your e-mail address has the suffix of a foreign country, for instance: yahoo.co.uk, virgilio.it, etc.
- . . . you pay by cashier's check, money order or postal check.
- . . . you'd need money sent to you by Western Union or wire transfer immediately.
- . . . you require the use of an escrow service other than Escrow.com, which is legit.
- . . . you care more about the detailed financial transaction than the merchandise you're buying.
