You’ll notice your inventory items now have a title. With the addition of a title, your ad gets an extra 50 characters. The best part is that whatever you type in the title will appear in bold, even with photos!
This feature was giving us a heck of a time last week and the titles were not showing on the published item. That has been corrected, so it’s time to right an attention grabbing headline for each inventory item.
(Note: If the inventory item is currently published, you only need to modify it, not republish it. However, if it was published two weeks ago, go ahead and republish it to get it back to the top of the category.)
That’s not all. Inventory items now have a price field. So you can add the price without using your ad text characters.
By entering the street address and zip code, buyers can now see the a map to your business or property location.
One of the popular features of our classifieds site is the classifieds search. Until now it displayed the first little bit of text from your description. Now, the summary option now let’s you control what appears as the search result. Click here and type your business phone number to see what your search results look like.
All of these features are optional.
If you leave these form fields blank, the information is automatically copied from the description. That does mean your first line will appear twice on the in column classifieds page. We recommend adjusting each field to make sure it reads the way you want.
