A whole new city will emerge from the forest on U.S. 90 East when Plum Creek begins construction next year. The site, more than four square miles, is the size of the main part of Lake City and there is plenty of room to expand.
This is an Intermodal Park and is expected to attract up to 20 major corporations for manufacturing, logistics and transportation. It includes a residential subdivision for 300 units.
This represents the largest economic development in the history of Columbia County.
