The Florida Gateway Challenge is June 10th at Hopeful Baptist Church, Lake City. The tournament is now a NASKA 2A Rated Event and is also affiliated with ISKA and MAC Circuit. Sensei Laura Lindboe and the Academy of Martial Arts are dedicating this year’s tournament to veterans, active duty military, and first responders. Come out and show support!

The WoofStock Festival, hosted by Covenant Pet Trust, will be held March 11 at Darby Pavilion near Lake DeSoto in downtown Lake City.

The campaign includes a Kick-Off Breakfast, The Biggest Loser Competition, The Corporate Cup, The Fittest School, a midway 2K Walk/Run, and a grand finale–a “Color” 5K Walk/Run!
The complimentary Kick-Off Breakfast is Jan. 7th at the Fairgrounds Banquet Hall. Doors open at 7:45 am, and breakfast will begin at 8:30 am. Dr. Cherylle Hayes, Radiation Oncologist/Health Physics Specialist, will be the guest speaker for the event.
The Biggest Loser Competition begins with weigh-in at Company Care (2970 W US Hwy 90, #120) Jan. 7-8, 8am-5pm, and ends with a weigh-out at the same location April 28-29.
The Corporate Cup is an exciting new event this year for companies participating in Get Fit. On April 23rd, join your coworkers for half a day of crazy fun competitions including–but not limited to–tug-of-war against a Ford F-150, dodge ball round robin, egg toss, 100-yard dash, plunger challenge, hula hoop marathon, & corn hole challenge!
The Fittest School is a program designed to encourage Columbia County elementary students to get moving with The Mileage Club. Last year, a total of 2,448 students from ten elementary schools participated and walked/ran a collective 55,753 miles!
The grand finale is a “Color” 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 7th!
